A Gift to the World: Man With Down Syndrome Opens Restaurant

I do not let my disability crush the dreams…People with disabilities, they can get anything they set their minds to. They’re special. We are a gift to the world.

Tim Harris dreamed of opening his own restaurant since he was 14 years old. What makes this story unique and inspiring is the fact that Tim was born with Down syndrome. However, Tim did not allow this fact to define him or even limit his dreams. With much support, Tim went from working at a Red Robin to owning his own restaurant that serves “Breakfast, Lunch, and Hugs.” He is shattering stereotypes and is a shining light onto all people who have disabilities.
