From the Hymnal: Jesus Messiah

Late night worship will be coming your way courtesy of Chris Tomlin. I absolutely love this song because this song perfectly describes what has happened as a result of Jesus Christ’s perfect life, willing and obedient death, and glorious and victorious resurrection. Jesus was sinless, yet became sin for us. He was righteous and imputed it to all who believe in Him. If you are a Christ-follower, this song is one of pure joy for your soul. Jesus is indeed our Messiah, rescue, ransom, and Lord. This is the greatest love the world has ever or will ever witness. God has saved wicked sinners at the risk of being an abomination to Himself (Proverbs 17:15). The cross of Christ is where God’s tremendous hate for sin and His tremendous love for people met in a glorious display as the perfect God-man Jesus Christ died to take our punishment as He absorbed God’s wrath and experienced the separation we deserve. Grace is more than beautiful and produces joyful tears in me tonight. Worship the Name above all names tonight. Worship the Messiah and perfecter of our faith, the worthy Lord of all, Jesus Christ. Our hope is in You, Lord. All glory to You, Lord.

He became sin
Who knew no sin
That we might become His righteousness
He humbled Himself and carried the cross

Love so amazing
Love so amazing

Jesus Messiah, name above all names
Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel
The rescue for sinners
The ransom from Heaven
Jesus Messiah, Lord of all

His body, the bread
His blood, the wine
Broken and poured out all for love
The whole earth tremble and the veil was torn

Love so amazing
Love so amazing, yeah

Jesus Messiah, name above all names
Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel
The rescue for sinners
The ransom from Heaven
Jesus Messiah, Lord of all

All our hope is in You
All our hope is in You
All the glory to You, God
The light of the world

Jesus Messiah, name above all names
Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel
The rescue for sinners
The ransom from Heaven
Jesus Messiah, Lord of all

Jesus Messiah, Lord of all
The Lord of all
The Lord of all
